1.- AKC / Eukanuba Campeonato Nacional
El 17 de septiembre de 1884, un grupo de doce deportistas dedicados, en respuesta a una "reunión llamada" de los Sres JM Taylor y Elliot Smith, se reunieron en las salas del Kennel Club de Filadelfia en esa ciudad, para el 22 de octubre de 1884, se celebró en Madison Square Garden en la ciudad de Nueva York la próxima reunión donde se constituyó el American Kennel Club (AKC), con el objetivo de que cada perro este representado en el mismo, es una de las organizaciones caninas más antiguas de perros existentes en la actualidad.

2.- The Westminster Kennel Club
The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show tiene como legado ser el mayor espectáculo de perro de pura raza en el mundo. Es el segundo evento deportivo de mayor continuidad que se celebra en los Estados Unidos, sólo un año de retraso respecto al Kentucky Derby.
Todo comenzó cuando en el año 1877 The Westminster Kennel Club celebró su primer Dog Show Anual en la ciudad de Nueva York con el propósito de aumentar el interés en los perros, mejorar las razas puras, así como el espectáculo y sus repercusiones en el mundo de los perros de raza pura. Es la organización más antigua de América dedicada al deporte de perros de raza pura.

Todo comenzó cuando en el año 1877 The Westminster Kennel Club celebró su primer Dog Show Anual en la ciudad de Nueva York con el propósito de aumentar el interés en los perros, mejorar las razas puras, así como el espectáculo y sus repercusiones en el mundo de los perros de raza pura. Es la organización más antigua de América dedicada al deporte de perros de raza pura.
